|The herb lavender (Lava nodular officialism)
originated in the Mediterranean and grows
almost anywhere. Lavender is used
therapeutically in aromatherapy, flower
remedies, teas, and herbal medicine.
Lavender oil contains several distinct
chemicals with healing properties. The oil
from the flowers is the most important medical
and therapeutic component. Lavender oil is
used widely and has a wide range of healing
properties including antiseptic properties and
is one of the few herbs and essential oils safe
enough to use for infants and children.
Lavender is used therapeutically for treating
depression, amenorrhea, burns, acne, rashes,
arthritis, athlete's foot, carpal tunnel
syndrome, psoriasis, insomnia, pain,
palpitations, anxiety, sleep issues, depression,
and nervousness. Owens Acres grows lavender
and uses it in our healing salves, bath products,
soaps, culinary blends, and teas.
